By the time The 2023 Travel Goods Show arrives, it will have been nearly three years since our industry last gathered together at The 2020 Show. It was also the last time we connected as an industry — the last time we networked, greeted friends old and new, talked shop and were wowed by the latest products and gear. For our colleagues who weren’t able to travel to New Orleans, it has been even longer.

The last few years have been rife with upheaval and disruption, with the travel goods industry hit particularly hard. We’ve lived through the challenges — and we know the cost to our industry. But, there is at last a sense of optimism that we are turning the corner. We’ve heard from so many people who have expressed their eagerness to be back on the show floor, to reconnect with colleagues and share the thrill and excitement of innovation, new design — and possibility — in person.

Whatever challenges remain, we will face them together knowing we will come out stronger than ever, as individual retailers and manufacturers and collectively as a proactive, unified industry. We will turn that corner together. This is why we need The Show now more than ever, and why each of us needs to take ownership of their role in The Show. Make a commitment to yourself, to your colleagues and to your industry and come to The 2023 Travel Goods Show. It is your Show, after all, and I think we can all agree that the best Shows have the strongest representation of both manufacturers and retailers.
