TGA Urges Congress to Fully Fund Chemical Management Reform Implementation


On May 2, TGA joined with more than 125 other organizations from across the business community to urge Congress to provide full funding to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to implement the TGA-supported Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act (LSCA). When fully implemented, the law, approved last year by Congress, will enable the EPA to regulate any chemical in any product, as long as it is proven in a transparent and scientifically-sound manner that the chemical could cause harm. TGA strongly supports quick LSCA implementation as a bulwark against the proliferation of state and local chemical regulations nationwide.
