Environmental Group Petitions to Repeal Prop 65 Lead Safe Harbor Level
July 15, 2015 – Last week, the Center for Environmental Health (CEH) submitted a petition to the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) to repeal Proposition 65 regulations relating to the maximum allowable dose level (MADL, or “safe harbor” level) for lead. TGA opposes the petition, as repeal or amendment of the MADL for lead would impact longstanding determinations and prior court-approved settlements based on the safe harbor level.
