Question: Do I purchase the three learning modules individually?
Answer: No. The cost of the program includes a pre-test, three learning modules, three review tests (one after each learning module) and the post-test.
Question: How much time do I have to complete the Travel Goods Specialist Certificate Program?
Answer: Candidates have one year from date of purchase to complete the program.
Question: Can a candidate stop during the Travel Goods Specialist Certificate Program, log off and then return where he or she left off at a later time?
Answer: Yes. Candidates can stop in the middle of the content and any assessment within the course and return upon logging back in. Each time the candidate clicks “Next” within the tests, the database saves their information.
Question: Do I have to pass all tests to pass the program?
Answer: No. To pass the Travel Goods Specialist Certificate Program you are only required to pass the final post-test.
Question: When do I get my test results?
Answer: The tests are scored online in "real time." So once you complete each test and submit it for scoring, you receive your results immediately.
Question: Will I be able to find out which questions I answered incorrectly after each test?
Answer: The score report will display the questions that the candidate answered incorrectly after the pre-test and the tests that follow each module. However, you will not be able to view incorrect answers after the post-test.
Question: What will I receive after I successfully pass the post-test?
Answer: Four to six weeks after passing, candidates will receive a certificate and the right to be referred to as a Certified Travel Goods Specialist. They will also receive a Certified Travel Goods Specialist name tag identifying their expertise and a wallet card. A list of all Certified Travel Goods Specialists will be posted on the TGA website.
Question: If a candidate fails the final post-test, can they re-take it?
Answer: For proprietary reasons, CASTLE Worldwide, Inc., the company that set up the training modules, is unable to allow a candidate to automatically go back and re-take the post-test once a score has been provided. Please contact Cathy Trecartin at TGA (419-873-0212 or cttga@aol.com) if this occurs.
