Product safety — 8 more California Proposition 65 notices issued

8 new "60-day" notices have been filed in recent weeks, which claim that brands and retailers sold Bags (Notice 1), Footwear (Notice 1; Notice 2; Notice 3), Jewelry (Notice 1; Notice 2), and Belts (Notice 1; Notice 2) in California that contained phthalates, cadmium and lead in violation of California Proposition 65 (Prop 65). TGA has included these notices in the TGA Prop 65 "60 Day Notice" running list alongside other travel goods and fashion-related notices received within the past three years. TGA will continue to update this list on a regular basis to help catalog the effects of this law on the travel goods industry. For more information on Prop 65, please go to the Prop 65 page on the TGA website or contact TGA's Nate Herman at 703-797-9062.
