Product safety — 11 more California Proposition 65 notices issued

Three California Proposition 65 litigants have issued several new "60-day" notices in recent weeks stating brands and retailers sold Tote and Cosmetic Bags (Notice 1; Notice 2), Cases with Zippers (Notice 1), Footwear (Notice 1), Belts (Notice 1; Notice 2; Notice 3), Gloves (Notice 1), Jackets (Notice 1), and Jewelry (Notice 1; Notice 2), in California that contained phthalates and one instance of lead in violation of California Proposition 65 (Prop 65). TGA has included these notices in the TGA Prop 65 "60 Day Notice" running list. TGA continually updates this list to catalog the impact of the law on the travel goods industry. For more information on Prop 65, please go to the Prop 65 page of the TGA website or contact TGA's Nate Herman by email or phone at 703-797-9062.
