San Diego draws the media!

• Bob Hansen, the consumer reporter for the local NBC affiliate, was on the floor taping segments for a series of consumer reports on the newest products. Several of the spots have already run in San Diego, and they were also uploaded to all the NBC-owned stations around the country for them to air as well.
• Peter Greenberg, the travel editor for NBC’s “Today” show spent a day gathering information on the latest products and will be featuring a segment on checked luggage in the coming month.
• A reporter and photographer from Mono magazine, a popular products magazine in Japan, attended The Show to report on the latest products that will be available to the Japanese market in 2008.
• Hemispheres, the in-flight magazine for American Airlines, sent a reporter to The Show for a feature on what’s new for their June issue; they also plan to publish a side feature on the history of travel with information supplied by TGA.
• Sally Walker Davies, the Destination Diva and freelance reporter for The Commercial Appeal in Memphis, filed an article for the Get Outta Town section of the newspaper entitled “Finally, color meets the carry-on bag.” She also is compiling her list of top-ten travel products for AOL Travel.
• Berit Thorkelson, a freelance columnist for the Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune, has already posted several of the products she saw at The Show on her website, Trusty Pony, which posts “cool products for travelers.” Check it out at www. trustypony.com.
• Other media attending that will be reporting on The Show include the Los Angeles Times, Business Traveler Magazine, San Diego Daily Transcript, East-West News Service, Shop Smart Magazine, About.com (the New York Times), The Travel Insider, Michael Sommer, the Gadget Guy, See Jane Fly, Travels-with-Hian, and Johnny Jet.
• The New York Times, Southern Bride, Romantic Destinations, Toronto Sun and Travel to Wellness were unable to attend but received information from The Show on the new trends and products showcased in San Diego.
